ANOTHER TUBULARSOCK ALTERNUT FACT!

In the world of “facts” Tubularsock likes to apply basic science. Only because science = temporary-truth because in using the Scientific Method the theory is presented and it is open to other scientists to duplicate the theory using the same methods to duplicate the results. If that happens the best that can be done is that the theory becomes a working theory and remains that because it at anytime may be disproved with new information. At that point the working theory becomes a “new” theory until it has been “proven” by duplicate recreation. This process IS what science happens to BE. And to be “true-science” the process is continuous and there can NEVER be an end point!

However, A FACT as defined by Merriam-Webster is “a piece of information presented as having objective reality” .

An “Alternate Fact” is just a really cool way of lying and sounding like you are telling the truth because you used the word “fact”.

BUT an “Alternut Fact” is just a cool way of out facting a fact with an objective reality that is not on the same plane as a “regular” truth and is more truthful than truth due to the truth being generated by a direct line moving at a constant velocity with respect to a fixed point or an objective reality! See, simple Science!

Which brings Tubularsock to the following Alternut Fact and if one wishes to PROVE something beyond a shadow of a doubt ……….. take a picture!

I knew it! I knew there was a bomb hidden in that pointy hair do, and THAT’S A FACT. Screw Science, I know it’s A FACT!

  2. Great theory, Tube – since only 10-30% of so-called scientific studies are reproducible. This has never bothered the corporate oligarchs who control the science marketplace – for them anything that increases profits is true.

Dr.B there is a reason for that “fact”. Profit IS truth and to increase profit means there is MORE TRUTH! And who wouldn’t want more truth? Except guys like Copernicus and Galileo and they were just mixed up. Now just sit down and take the blue pill!

  4. Tubularsock, Maybe “alternut” facts have been genetically modified? Even more science!
One thing … you could have trouble getting through airports now. But I forget — cabinet-level types like yourself go to the head of the line, if and when they’re in such official disfavor they have to mingle with the deplorables and fly commercial. Of course maybe that’s how you stay in touch with your , ahem, base? As one of “those” people, I’ll just say I don’t know much, but I know bullshit as an art form when I smell it! – Linda

Now Linda, let Tubularsock assure you that both “alternut” facts AND “bullshit as an art form” are certified organic by TCOCASL. Or better known in non governmental language as Tubularsock Certified Organic Conglomerate and Sake Lounge, Ltd.

Tubularsock just doesn’t fly with the οἱ πολλοί, or for you lesser beings that aren’t schooled in Ancient Greek, “hoi polloi”!

But that is not to say that Tubularsock, in his position as Secretary of the Deploables, does not stay in touch with the baseness of his base. Tubularsock tweets!

Hey, El Greeko, here’s a little ditty, an FYI:

“A figure that is not so often quoted (almost never, in fact – suggesting a deliberate suppression of unwelcome data) is that of the 31,487 scientists (more than 9,000 of them with a Ph.D.) who have signed the following petition letter to the US Congress:

“We urge the US government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December 1997, and any other similar proposals.

The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.

There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of CO2, methane, or other greenhouse gases, is causing, or will in the foreseeable future cause, catastrophic heating of the earth’s atmosphere and/or the disruption of earth’s climate.

Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric CO2 produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the earth”. [Emphasis added]

      • Tweeting? No, say it ain’t so! I’m not ready for that … but okay, as long as you say it’s organic, I feel better about … hmm, I forget what I feel better about … so no problem, I guess, thanks?

sojourner, seven REAL CORPORATE SCIENTISTS say those 31,487 so called scientists are wrong! Those corporate scientists get paid to know what they know and paid well! So they must be correct.

        But thanks for the link.

And the thanks is all my mine. Love your stuff, Tube!

Why is it that every time I look at that picture, I can’t help but giggle?

And you won’t believe this, and please, but please don’t tell anyone, but at first glance, I thought the terrorist with the pointy hairdo was Rumsfeld. There is an uncanny resemblance if you really work hard at it. In my defense, however — or perhaps as my damnation — I was seeing a turban where what it really was, was your groovy pompadour.

Now how “racist” is that, albeit on an unconscious level?

Which is kinda scary if you really think about it. I’m slowly turning into, you know, one of “them.” My God! What have I become?
