Batt, thanks but how about organize the meek AND KILL THE KING! Of course then the meek would inherit the earth and who wants this polluted mess anyway? There is always a down side!
The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the origin of Heaven and Earth…

Sha’Tara, thanks for the info but Tubularsock likes to hold his copy even when the dust collects. Oh my, yes Tubularsock’s underground bunker needs a good dusting. Thanks for the reminder.
Tube: Oh my God! I can’t believe Steve Bannon’s name has been invoked in this great philosophical discourse. Since it has, it raises a question, Since Bannon said Ivanka Trump is “dumb as a brick”..can we trace her lineage and say..”The Brick doesn’t fall very far from the Prick..” Just asking.
No really a 4.4 isn’t that big of a deal. It was like a roll and then a jolt and then a roll. The epicenter was close which causes a bit more of a ride. Been through far worse but it does wake one up to just how powerful the earth is when it’s upset!
I was joking a bit. When I lived in LA, we had shocks like this all of the time. At first, being from Ohio, they scared the shit out of me, but I got used to them over time.
I was glad not to be in Northridge, years later, when the big one hit. I remember seeing shots of collapsed buildings I used to pass all the time, when I lived there.
Too funny… reminds me of a Newfie story. An American tourist was up in Newfoundland, walking on a dock. Seeing a Newfie mending his nets, the American exclaimed, “Wow, it’s so clear up here, I swear I could see clear to China.” To which the Newfie replied, “Now that you mention it, there’s a Chinaman at the fish plant and he goes home for lunch everyday.”
Sha’Tara, that is a funny story and Tubularsock supposes it is true as well. Several Chinese friends of Tubularsock’s would go home for lunch everyday except for one who preferred Indian!
Tube: so much wisdom to start the New Year. How about one more: Blessed are the meek..for they shall get their ass kicked…

No, but the chicken can!
Ah yes, for the Loud Tzu’s enlightenment:
“Lao Tzu says it well in the Tao Te Ching:
The Tao that can be spoken is not the eternal Tao.
The name that can be named is not the eternal name.
The nameless is the origin of Heaven and Earth…

Take that, Jesus, Yahweh, Allah and Darwin!

Sojourner so true. The spin off is “those who say don’t know and those who know don’t say”.
But that was before TV!
Loud Tzu pretty much knows EVERYTHING if you ask him!

These are fantastic, Tube. I tried to pick a favourite but I couldn’t: didn’t want to leave any of them out. My kind of Tao, LoudTzu.

Sha’Tara, glad you like them. They all just tumbled out of Tubularsock’s mind right onto the floor. A truth mess indeed!

LT, Sun Tzu and Tubularsock are very old friends. Tubularsock was reading the Art of War while Steve Bannon was still a child!
In fact, Tubularsock is well versed in Chinese literature. Luck of the draw Tubularsock supposes.
But Lao Tzu caught Tubularsock’s interest early on and Taoism is still a major focus of Tubularsock’s life.
But Li Bo has always been Tubularsock’s favorite Chinese poet when push comes to shove. Three jars of sake and Tubularsock can recite the night away.

But I’m glad the bunker and you are both in tact!
