TARIFF & BEER

A half ass Trump produces half ass policies producing half ass outcomes for a half ass country!

HOW PERFECT! Oh yes, American Exceptionalism!

Could the dumb ass get any better than this?

COKE is raising its prices and BEER is going up. Damn, those TRUMP TARIFFS are sure helping out us deplorables!

But rest assured the soybean farmers are going on corporate welfare, BMW are raising it’s prices and Harley-Davidson is moving some of its work out of the country.

Goldman Sachs projects Ford and GM will both lose $1 billion each this year because of Trump’s tariffs.

Well hell, it’s only money!

The interesting problem is that the trade war with China sets in motion a loss in market share.

And the longer all this continues, soybean farming will grow in other countries and once that becomes established it may NEVER shift back to the way it was before Trump’s destruction of the American soybean farmers.

But that doesn’t really matter. Fucking Dump hasn’t any stock in soybeans!

So, you got to admit that no one except The Imbecile In Chief could have bankrupted a gambling casino but THAT is the “brilliance” of Dump’s business aptitude.

You’ll understand what direction we are going economically when you see the first “garage sale” on the White House front lawn. Cash Only!

An old Canadian friend, right after Trump was (s)elected, told me, “The empire is dying, and Trump has been (s)elected to bring it down completely. Trump is the newest “patsy” for the powers that be.”

At the time, I didn’t pay much attention, but now, I realize my friend was correct.

    “The Party’s over…”

And just think, this empire only managed to last for two centuries, whereas the major empires lasted for at least a millennium.

    Now how “exceptional” is that?

Oh sojourner, you are soooo positive! Tubularsock has thought that very same thought as your Canadian bud.

It appears that we have a housing bubble, a stock market bubble, a homeless bubble, and a war bubble but no champagne because of the tariffs!

But even if the party’s over Tubularsock is still sending off the balloons that Killery didn’t get to send up after the election. It’s the least Tubularsock can do!

Tube: Economists seldom agree on anything. There’s an old saying: “if you laid one thousand economists end to end you’d have..one thousand economists end to end..” But two things they do agree on is that excessive tariffs are not advisable and no one can ever win a tariff war. Where was Trump when he was supposed to be studying economics at Wharton School of Business? Perhaps he was out grabbing co-eds by their private parts.

Batt, if you did put thousands of economists end to end would that cause economist-inflation?

      Tubularsock was just wondering.

While you’re in a wondering mode, Tube, could you wonder about this, that “the economy” is a complete chimera; that there is no such thing. You could probably find the first mention of “an economy” in an original version of Grimm’s fairy tales…

Sha’Tara, if we are going by the Greeks it’s a fire-breathing female monster if we are talking chimera so Grimm’s may work for sure.

Now if we are talking “the economy” then it would be a thing that is hoped or wished for but in fact is illusory or impossible to achieve. So that too could be Greek or Grimm’s.

And if we really want to get closer to truth …….. our entire fucking existence is an illusion SOOOO,
        where are we now?

        Cheers.

I don’t mind illusions, or even that “our entire existence is an illusion” but do they have to have so much pain, loss and sorrow in them? Couldn’t they just be nice illusions, for everybody? I mean, what the hell, what’s the deal here? I’m not expecting an answer, even if an answer would be nice, just my turn to wonder out loud. BTW, did you mean ‘economisflation’? Kind of a cool word, that… A mother should be proud when she births something new.

According to the Bible it is because Adam and Eve took bites out of the apples. There are other theories. No on has come up with the exact answer yet for sure. The apple story is as good as any. Take your pick. 🍎 🍏

According to the bible, god himself invented temptation, then killing (he used animal skins to throw at Adam and Eve-the very first mention of bloodshed on earth) then followed that up with a truly psychopathic tantrum, cursing Adam, Eve, the serpent and for good measure, the earth for as long as it should endure, then kicked the two bewildered humans out to fend for themselves. Now that they knew the difference between good and evil, I can only be surprised that to this day, despite biblical evidence galore to the contrary, some people can still claim that god is a god of love. Beam me up Scotty, there’s no intelligent life down here.

Is there another’s theory or poetic explanation you like better. I don’t see that being angry helps. Atheists think life is all a meaningless happenstance of physics and chemistry. Not much poetry there

Well, I do like apples, and a big, shiny red one would have attracted me as much as it did Eve. That’s poetic. As to a talking snake, hmmm, I think that’s fascinating as well as poetic. I think the Edenic apple tree was a GMO which is why god, disguised as the talking snake made the humans eat of it whereas the tree of life was Yggdrasil, and of course the Edenic psycho divinity wouldn’t want the humans to even come close… that’s another theory. Who’s angry?

Old Guy, Tubularsock thanks you for your comment in helping Sha’Tara work out which theory she needs to consider.

For Tubularsock the Adam and Eva Apple story never had much of a core!

        Welcome to Tubularsock, Cheers!

  4. The US soybean industry needs to die. I’m really surprised the Chinese don’t boycott US soybeans altogether as Europe does – they’re 94% genetically modified.

American exceptionalism — my youngest son is ‘cognitively impaired’ and in the distant past they referred to children like him as ‘exceptional’ (isn’t that precious?) … so every time someone talks about uh-merikkkan exceptionalism (especially with the trumptard in power) I cannot stop myself from admitting that yes, America is becoming more retarded every day! And thank you Tube, for keeping me sane! 🤔😉
