BEWARE, TRUMPATITIS!
One of the major signs of the deadly Trumpatitis is having the ability to bungle your job in huge and mind boggling ways and not being able to identify the problem while looking directly in the mirror!
On January 11th the first non travel case of Covid-19 was diagnosed in the U.S. and the Chinese Government sent out to the world the genome of the Covid-19 virus.
Within a week of that posting the Germans had produced the first diagnostic test for the disease.
By the end of February, the World Health Organization had shipped tests to almost sixty countries.
Yet the Trump Administration refused the WHO test and waited for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to produce its own test.
THIS WAS ONE OF THE FIRST FAILURES OF THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION TO SLOW THE VIRUS IN THE U.S., according to vital-disease experts both within and without the Administration’s health agencies.
But hey ………. wayyyyyyyyyy before that, in April 2018, Dump’s Administration removed Tom Bossert along with his epidemic team from the Department Homeland Security and a month later reassigned Rear Adm. Timothy Ziemer and dissolved and shut down the entire global health security unit that was part of the National Security Council.
And surprise surprise, neither of the epidemic teams were replaced!
When Dump took office he inherited from Obummer a large and extremely capable group of disease prevention experts which helped guide Obummer through THREE epidemic/pandemic during his time in office.
Dump squandered this opportunity along with many others because of his petty little juvenile ego and has once again caused harm to a great number ……… pathetic, bungling, idiotic, stupid sad little man.
But why stop there?
Dump has been pushing for a 19% budget cut for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention ….. the agency currently tasked with preparing and responding to all outbreaks and serious health threats to our country.
As well as a 10% cut to “public health scientific services”, a 3% cut to “public health preparedness and response” and a 7% cut to global health programs.
And this is the guy who is running the show?

I just think you had better put your hands on those oars, Tube, or you’ll never row around in circles as a good believer must. Trump knows what he’s doing: the way to achieve sainthood while being president of the USA is to do everything ass-backwards, upside down and crookedly corrupt exponentially. There was Nixon and then there was… and then… and then… and then, and now there’s Trump and unless someone cuts off his Twitter account and he dies of apoplexy you’ve got him for a minimum of another 4.5 years. Time to celebrate and applaud the virus, it’s the only intelligent force extant that can change this.

Do you really think the US government should be in the health care business? There’s nothing about it in the Constitution.
Is it wise or healthy for lawyers (more than 40% of Congress) to be practicing medicine?
And don’t get me started on the CDC.

Now KO, there has got to be a way to have a health care system dedicated to wellness FIRST without a profit motive. The motive has to be WELLNESS FOR ALL.
So, how would you propose this without some kind of oversight and direction?
Tubularsock doesn’t have faith in the government either but we can see how capitalism and all the other “isms” have done and all that is left is a “new way” ………..

I think about this a lot, because the so-called “health care system” ruined my health. The stress and unrealistic demands made practicing psychiatry a living nightmare. My health has improved dramatically since I retired.
Philosophically, I believe health is a very personal thing that can’t be addressed by any “system.” I’m drawn to the Oriental philosophy that emphasizes “qi,” or “life force” that comes from within and seeks balance. There is no equivalent to “qi” in the West, although religion, especially monotheism, tries to compensate.
The US “health care system” is so dysfunctional itself that its only function seems to be to treat people to death.
But it’s late, and for my continued health, I need to call it a yesterday (It’s 12:15 a.m. here.) I will have a lot more to say on this subject, but it’s all muddled in my head right now.

Yes, true that. The “slow motion” is intended to give us a bit of time to change our ways and choose a different path. It’s never too late and we do have a fantastic choice available to us. It won’t save our lives but it will push us into a different category of “life experience.” Oh, yeah, what choice is that? To choose to live compassionately.

YES, Western health care systems CAN’T EVEN take care of themselves.
The reason, they come from the view of SICKNESS, like it is outside ourselves somehow.
It is also focused on profit ……….. in there lies the ultimate sickness!
The Eastern philosophical view is and has been much more in tune with Tubularsock’s thinking as well as living.
As you know, ALL “sickness” comes from an unbalanced mind. Putting the emotional body in order and there is no dis-ease!

sooo, here’s a bizarre thought – what if this sorta “enforced” stillness / busy-ness slo down / almost meditative atmosphere, brings enough wisdom & presence and reflection to millions of people that one way or the other, “trumpatitis” can be declared null and void. what if most of the house and senate finally “got it”, what if matriarchy took the lead for a while, after thousands of years of patriarchy, what if something better than capitalism evolved, what if the “defense” bugets in the world were slashed and that money was actually used for something of value. lots of possibilities – TWT….it always does, lol.
