Europeans do – that’s for sure – and they seem compelled to inflict them on the rest of the world. I really like Fred Harrison’s theory (in The Traumatized Society) that the reason Europeans have so many issues if due to cultural genocide they experienced 300 years ago. When our ancestors were evicted from the communal lands they had farmed collectively for over 1,000 years. One thousand years of culture was wiped out practically overnight. It was replaced by a cheating culture, in which the only thing that mattered was making as much money as possible.
