TUBULARSOCK is just sitting around trying to figure out which world tragedy is bad enough to be concerned about. Oh, killing children by the hundreds once was considered something that should be stopped! You know out of sake for humanity. Not anymore. Now we WRITE a STRONGLY worded letter to whoever is doing the killing and then sell them MORE bombs!
Oh sure, WE ALL care about the future of humanity. Well — except for those guys and that group over there and this group who don’t look like us. WELL SHIT! Who do we like?
One thing for sure WE DO WANT THEIR OIL, URANIUM, AND TREES but “they” seem to be in the way!
The solution is obvious. We’ll bring DEMOCRACY to them via WAR! That should do it! Oh, has Tubularsock mentioned “God Bless America” yet? Consider it done.
Because Americans don’t read much anymore Tubularsock will add some pictures with a message for your consumption. Hey, it’s a mental exercise.
THINK ON THAT!
TIME WILL END IT ALL AND US TOO!

We have apparently put aside our capacity for outrage. There is too much happening to choose a specific cause. Some of us are numbed by it.

Well KO, count Tubularsock as one who is numbed by it!
It does marvel Tubularsock as to just how terrible is terrible anymore?
We may need to call in Pesky the Raccoon to mix up the mess.
And do get Tweety back to health.
Stay safe and keep up the animal kingdom. At least they are rational.

Thanks, Tube, for the supportive words. Animals are probably not as rational as they are emotional. They know when they hurt. And certain animals, like wolves and hyenas, or sharks, gang up on weaklings, as humans do. But there are heroes among animals, too. Speckles has mellowed and seems very solicitous of Tweety’s illness.

KO, you are correct that animals are much more tied to emotion than rational views except for our pet household rabbit Tubularsock once had.
“Rabbit” ALWAYS weighed out each action like clockwork.
An amazing being. She kept the dogs in their place and ignored the one winged house pigeon Herman who became Hermanetta after “he” laid “his” first egg!

It’s true. Numbness is a way of life now. For those of us lucky enough to not be consistently brutalized.

So very true, SB!
However there is an out. Buy a firecracker from the Communist Chinese for the 4th of July!
Let yourself go wild.
Great to hear from you. Hope all is fine.
