Kinda sad really. She ran for Alaska state governor as a populist on a platform to increase the resource tax oil companies pay on the oil they take out of the ground (based on the novel premise that the public owns natural resources). This tax is paid out as an annual dividend to all Alaska residents.
It made her extremely popular with oil companies – obviously. She quickly learned that had no political future unless she agreed to play the dumb broad role they demand of female politicians.

SB, thanks for your comment. I agree about the sadness of the situation. But her handlers told her what position to stand on and how to present herself. I think she was pretty much a puppet from the beginning. The dumb broad works so well and the whole underdog crap ……. the, “I’m one of you” bull shit plays well to a large segment of the public. And that anti-intellectual position, like reading and writing is something to be ashamed about!
But yes, once the oil companies took control all the political establishment falls in line ……. maybe because it’s a political pipeline of cash?

As you may know, life is a projection and the fact that you projected your fantasy onto Tubularsock is not all that uncommon. However, YOUR fantasy is not one Tubularsock possesses so you’ll have to play with yourself on your own.

Tubularsock looks at people as whole beings not as parts. Attraction to parts is a very limited way of viewing a person. Your characterization of Sarah Palin as “pretty cute” is your limited opinion based on looks. To some a cockroach is “cute” viewed from that standpoint.
Tubularsock is not a “gay boy” as you questioned but Tubularsock knows several gays that do think Sarah Palin is cute. Limited vision is not gender specific it appears.
