YOU DON’T KNOW NOTHIN’: NEWS
Tubularsock figures that if ANYONE ever stopped and looked at ANY “news” story they would very quickly realize that the only truth they could glean from a “news” story is that it is the STORY part that is the only truth.
And because it is a STORY it could be a lie!
And these STORIES that are spread by what is known as NEWS agencies are not really news but biased stories that are then spread around the world as something that happened (maybe).
Add that to the famous New York Times banner still on the masthead today, “All the news that’s fit to print” and the ONLY question is WHO DECIDES?
And it doesn’t take much effort to discover that most all “news” is distributed to all of us by only THREE (count them …. 3) Global News Agencies.
THAT IS FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD!
The Associated Press (U.S.), the Agence-Presse (FRANCE), and Reuters (Great Britain).
And what constitutes a Global News Agency is that they have offices in most countries of the world and cover all areas of information.
There are many news agencies that provide information but most are more locally centered to a country or area.
So it is up to the “Big-Three” to filter news to the entire world.
All three also have as their core principles, to avoid overt partiality and avoid making judgments and to steer clear of doubt and ambiguity. (good luck with that!) And come now,YOU have got to be wiser than to believe THAT!
So exactly why don’t you know everything or for that matter anything?
Well the first tier is where the fundamental manipulation begins and that is based on whether an event is chosen as news, “of interest”. There are a “million stories in the city, and this is just one of them” as the old Dragnet Police Show used as their tag line.
So which “STORY” gets reported? AND WHY?
Now the ownership of the above agencies are riddled with layers of ownership and corporate/governmental interests and influence. What looks like a straight shot is really more of a quagmire of family, social, governmental, corporate, and latent colonial interests and prejudice.
So here at the fundamental news collection agencies omission due to interest, “lack of space” and “built in bias” is the first step in whether YOU will even get a chance to hear what has happened.
Of course, there is also “Will It Sell” and deliberate distortion to promote or destroy an idea, fantasy, or political position.
And then there is the use of these global news agencies by governments, military and intelligence services to spread their messages worldwide which in truth is directive propaganda discussed like “news”.
And to top all of this is the reality of TRANSLATION. Not only translations through several languages before you even see the story in your newspaper or news outlet but also basic cultural translation which may come through as a lack of understanding between the cultural view of the reporter and of that that is being reported.
So by the time the “news” gets to you what REALLY happened is hijacked and what its significance happens to be has been manipulated.
And it ends up that we don’t know much of anything about world events but the real strange thing is we argue with each other and get all pushed out of shape over our differences of opinion and “facts”.
Yet in reality, we all have been fed bull shit and we each defend it like it is real!
The BIG THREE filters the “news” to a multitude of “news” outlets. There are many of them in every country that are fed these STORIES.
Fox News, CBS News, WSJ, NYT, WP, ABC News, NPR, CNN News to just to name a very few.
And from this cluster of news outlets the News STORIES go through a new series of influence depending on the point of view of the corporation or family that owns them.
And when Fox News scream from on high: “FAIR & BALANCED” the jokes on you.
But NONE of these outlets are fair or balanced they all just slant the STORIES to the mind set that follows any particular “NEWS OUTLET”.
So in truth ……… get real!
Do you REALLY think you know what is going on in Venezuela right now?
Syria, Iran, Russia?
Well just about the same amount you were TOLD about Iraq, or Cuba, or Vietnam!
Bottom line YOU DON’T KNOW NOTHIN’ !
AND THAT IS THE WHOLE POINT ………… DECEPTION AND CONTROL!
And to get into a political argument based on what you picked up from ANY news source is like pissing into the wind.
Fun if you don’t mind being wet!
All you really have to understand is that THOSE WHO CONTROL THE NARRATIVE CONTROL THE “TRUTH” OF PERCEPTION ……… EVEN WHEN IT’S ALL A LIE!

First you need the 3-D printer app, then you make the grinder, collect whatever falls out of it and put it in the trash. I believe that’s how it works. Your grinder image and comment reminds me of those “ancient” wooden box phones hanging on the wall with the crank on the side. Those were word grinders too and when on a party line several people could feed off the gossip thread at the same time. I actually used those. I had to stand on a chair to reach the mouthpiece but it was quite an event. Now phones, even if they can “app” just about anything, are dull by comparison. You don’t have to ride a sleigh half a mile to the general store to use the phone. You don’t get to talk to an operator who tells you to ‘hold please’ then forgetting what to say when you hear your mom’s crackling voice from a hospital many miles away… Now you did it, Tube, reminding me that… well… nothing has changed in essence since it was, and remains, all bullshit. With so much BS around you’d think we wouldn’t need to buy fertilizer. But I digress and even if it isn’t either immoral, illegal or fattening, it’s digressing.

Tubularsock’s grandmother had one of those phones that you speak of on her farm.
Tubularsock never got to use it but did get to crank it a few times.
Funny what one forgets.
And the party line …….. now it’s the CIA, FBI, NSA and perhaps even Edward Snowden listening in.

This “news” is not news, but the fact is that who or whatever attacked Saudi Arabia’s oil refinery and oil field doesn’t matter. Oil prices are slated to go up, so US gas guzzlers will pay for it. Oil company stocks will go up, at least in the short term, until all those speculators sell short. If the US uses the Trump administration’s spin in order to start a war, gas prices will go up more; and at least some of the high-stakes gamblers with other people’s money on Wall Street will make a “killing.” (OK, these are not facts, but predictions, based on the “not news” stories I heard tonight.)

You pay to kill millions of innocents who are all murders and rapists to quote his orange buffoonness, so you can go to the gas pumps and pay some more so you can drive to the next county where a cousin lives so you can spend the weekend, get drunk, have a fight, pay to get yourself out of jail, go to work on Monday morning to get your severance pay and become unemployed. Spot on again, Tube! Thus the reason I am starting, once again, to get myself out of this addiction to blogging! And that is what this is, I am addicted to doing this. And that is a bad reason to continue. But I don’t know if I can get off of the ‘shit’?
At the end of the day, I really don’t know what is happening, even in my own city. So why should I continue to pander nothing but more falsehood and confusion?
The alt news is now as fucked up as the manistream. Wackos abound everywhere. There is no place to turn for the truth, except inward, that is, if one can truly trust his or her own sense of what is and what isn’t the truth. And I am not certain I am capable of doing so, that is for certain. In fact, I may be my worse enemy, when it comes to this. I only know one thing for certain, and that is I KNOW NOTHING FOR CERTAIN.
Religion helped me to figure this out, and I am temporally grateful!
My days are numbered, and for this, I am very grateful! My parole, my reprieve from this seventy year prison sentence is almost here: I now have an out-date, I just don’t know the exact minute, hour and day.
