What I find really ominous is with these large standing mercenary armies run by Blackwater and other private contractors, corporations no longer need to wait for the US government to declare war on their behalf. They can declare war on sovereign nations themselves. Actually a number of individual billionaires are in a position to declare war if they want.
Agreed! But with corporations being “people” as they are in the U.S. isn’t that what we all need, our own standing army? In fact there my be less war because a corporation would be affected directly at their bottom line. Now the government carries the expense for them. Think on that DrB. Another Tubularsock solution!
