CHANGING CHANGELESS CHANGE?

I guess Tubularsock holds a grudge.

Enjoying the sun coming through Tubularsock’s top floor corner office windows in his underground bunker overlooking Washington, D.C. from Oakland, CA Tubularsock sits and ponders as he often does each new year.

Tubularsock’s observation is simple. What the fuck is new about a new year? What has changed from 11:59 to 12 midnight that would warrant the hype?

And depending on where you are on planet earth when that 11:59 to 12 midnight happens are at different fucking times. So in Istanbul when the partying starts New Yorkers are still waiting for this illusionary time to arrive for them and by the time it arrives in Oakland, CA well …… fuck it! It’s old time. Tubularsock has gone to bed. Tubularsock doesn’t like to wait!

But that isn’t why Tubularsock holds a grudge which he still clings to from the top of this page.

Tubularsock’s second observation is why doesn’t change change? EVERYONE pontificates that change is, change will, or change won’t change.

But what are they talking about?

For example, some people “change jobs” but they still get up in the morning and eat their breakfast on the run. Catch the bus or drive their car or ride their bike to the “changed job”. They still get a break or at least take a break mid-morning, have lunch on the run, and end up in a cool bar to drink after work to complain to whoever else have survived another work job day. So where’s the change.

How about political change …… no Tubularsock isn’t trying to be humorous here.

We are led to believe we elect a President but where does he/she or it come from to run for President. Really, raise your hand if you have ever known a President as a personal friend. See! Where do they really come from?

Well, they all say they come from a groundswell. So does that mean that we are all dirt?

They all say they want to change Washington and the Nation but who gets the advantage of that change or more to the point does it even change?

Because you are dirt you get to pick A or B. There is no C,D,E,or F. Only A or B and in truth they are the same.

Stop, Tubularsock knows the argument. So don’t give me all that shit about how important electing one of these two jerks is our sacred right as citizens. If no one showed up to vote one of the two jerks would be President anyway. And there are some individuals who know right now who that will be!

A or B all have gone to the same schools, join the same clubs, hang out with the same whores (sorry, meant escorts), are on the same board of directors, use the same PR firms, use the same political advisors, snort the best cocaine, smoke Cuban cigars or use them as sexual objects (talking to you Bill) and are always intwined with the CIA in some manner.

But none of that is why Tubularsock is holding a grudge.

And then do we really want change?

Most people get their groove on when they are young and try to play it out the rest of their lives for better or for worse.

Death is the ultimate game changer of change. As is divorce, illness, and children.

Shit happens along the way and change is usually the culprit!

How you end up playing the new hand you are dealt is what makes change good for you or bad for you. It is really a crap-shoot.

So is change good or bad is a moot point …….. change is.

So why is Tubularsock carrying this grudge all this time you may ask?

Simple! What we see isn’t what we get and what we get isn’t what we see.

That is how life’s hologram works.

Tubularsock doesn’t know whether you realize this or not BUT nobody was asked if they wanted to be here ……..

Nobody gets to choose their parents.

Their culture.

Their religion or belief structure.

Their social position.

No, YOU WERE TRAINED INTO ALL THAT.

Even to the point that A NEW YEAR is like some kind of new beginning, a starting point.

IT’S NOT! It is a trained mind frame that you live from because you have been trained to do that.

That is why Tubularsock holds this grudge. NO ONE ASKED HIM!

And that is why Tubularsock sits in his top floor corner office in his underground bunker overlooking Washington D.C. from Oakland, CA.

Some shit is just difficult to believe.
