BLAME THE TEACHER!

Granted that Tubularsock has been distracted by Jay Z cheating rumors being denied by reality star Casey Cohen. She says they ‘Have Never Been Intimate’! Well, rest assured that Jay Z and Tubularsock have “never been intimate” either. Feel better?

And then just getting Kimye married off to Kanye was enough to put Tubularsock over the edge. What with trying to arrange baby North West in the proper position so not to cry or poop during the ceremony.

It’s great to start off in married land with a head start in family planning.

And with that fabulous Givenchy Haute Couture white gown you’d almost mistake Kim for a virgin. But you’d quickly realize that you have been deceived when the his-and-hers leather jackets came out. You could tell neither were virgins!

Now Kimye is on her third husband and the bets are already down that West will be her third divorce. Wow, Tubularsock can never rest with this news.

It seems that the odds are high enough to put money on it!

Supposedly, 73 percent of people who have been divorced twice already also see their third marriage end in divorce. What’s more, people who have a family member who has been divorced are 75 percent more likely to get a divorce than those who don’t. And for Kimye her mother is ending #2 and her sister is in the process of getting a divorce from #1.

Just how can Tubularsock process all this and still have time to come up with this thought provoking question?:***

Have you ever thought why American teachers are being evaluated and held responsible for their students testing scores as an indicator of the teachers competence?

While the corporation (DynCorp) that trained all those Iraq police and military in Mosul who ended up running away from the ISIS fundamentalists and even throwing off their guns and stripping off their uniforms as they ran are not taken to task for spending billions of dollars and FAILING to train those police and military?

Tube heading thumbs down

Have you heard Obummer or even one Congress member suggest that DynCorp be even evaluated for their poor performance? Has anyone ask for our money back. Has anyone stated that we won’t hire DynCorp again?

And yet a teacher is criticized for poor performance if the students don’t pass a test!

Yes, this is an essay question and Tubularsock expects all work to be handed in post-haste.

*** answer to above ….. multi-tasking WITH A SHORT ATTENTION SPAN!

Now let Tubularsock go way out on a limb here only because Tubularsock always likes to be closest to the new leaves.

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl, the only American soldier held prisoner in Afghanistan, was freed by the Taliban.

The deal was simple: Five Tortured Afghan detainees from the U.S. torture-prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, for One not-tortured American soldier. Cool!

Now, the limb part, is Tubularsock is making a big assumption here. And that assumption is that the Taliban DIDN’T torture Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is still under a cloud from his departure from the ranks back in 2009 because the circumstances surrounding Bergdahl’s capture remain something of a mystery.

Some have speculated that he willingly walked away from his unit but Tubularsock has one of those Tubularsock hunches that the Sargent was lit on a combination of alcohol and Afghan Gold and just found himself captured ……… bummer.

Tubehuka

Now Tubularsock can hear you doubters, asking how would Tubularsock KNOW the obvious. Come now, really? Let us see ………

But the bigger the bull-shit the less likely we’ll ever know and here it comes from the Commander-in-Chief himself ………. Bergdahl’s recovery “. . . is a reminder of America’s unwavering commitment to leave no man or woman in uniform behind on the battlefield.”

Aren’t we so fucking noble!

It could be that on that Memorial Day visit Odroner made to Afghanistan to outline the direction his administration will be taking in that war that they just needed one more solider to be withdrawn from the forever battle and so they worked out this deal because they thought 22,200 withdrawn troops looked better from a PR perspective than 22,199.

And it’s not the 9,800 troops that are going to stay there that you should be looking at anyway. They aren’t worth shit.

What you should be looking at is the number of mercenaries/contractors that will be remaining. Most American still don’t understand that removing troops does not reduce exposure and death to the Afghan people. That’s if the American public cares about that anyway. Using contractors to supply or enhance weapons is not unusual. But expeditionary warfare, stabilization and reconstruction operations, and intelligence services are tasks that most Americans believe are the sole job of the government or the military. It’s not. It’s all about privatization and profit. NOT ending the conflict.

That is why it doesn’t matter how many Taliban and remnants of al-Qaida are killed. There are ALWAYS more. And in many cases we supply THEM with weapons and training as well. Constant war requires it!

In fact according to a report by the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan (SIGAR), an auditing agency created by Congress to provide oversight on government spending in Afghanistan between 2002 and 2013, almost 70% of the 4 billion dollars spent by the State Department for “rule-of-law” projects, like training and equipping the Afghan police force went to one corporation …. Dyncorp.

Dyncorp is known for it’s well-documented history of corruption investigations and subpar performance and yet the governments contracts flow in regardless of the fact that in 2010 the inspector general for Iraq  along with the State Department found that Dyncorp could not account for $1 billion spent training the Iraqi police force.

Oh well, business is business.

Now the exchange deal went down in Qatar. The same little country where we are currently “training” fighters to over throw Syria. Sweet.

But this wasn’t the first time the U.S. dealt with the Taliban on this exchange. In 2011 a deal was being worked out but in early 2012 Sen. Diane Feinstein made the negotiations public because in Congress, there was bipartisan opposition to any release of Guantanamo prisoners.

This all changed because of a small change in the Fiscal Year 2014 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which passed last December, made it only a requirement that the Defense Secretary notify Congress when releasing Guantanamo prisoners.

Before that change, Congressional sign off on any Guantanamo releases would have been needed but they gave up that power either knowingly or not. Depending on which of the Congressional members actually read what they were passing.

But now they can bitch but say they are powerless!

Now the Five Tortured Afghan detainees from the U.S. torture-prison at Guantanamo are, of course, “the worst of the worst” and are Taliban commanders. The deal requires that they can not leave Qatar for a year after their release. Tubularsock feels better all ready.

And the great thing …….. none of them hold a grudge or anything, right?

Tubularsock has been extremely busy recently. It’s spring! And every spring Tubularsock takes time away from blogging to wash and clean all of his underground bunker windows.

Starting from where Tubularsock sits in his top floor corner office overlooking Washington, D.C. from Oakland, CA all the way down to the underground-ground-floor.

Needless to say it’s a large task.

But the world moves on. Regretfully I’ve seen this film before.

Somehow in “freedom” loving America we are getting a distorted view of the EVIL RUSSIAN …….. see, I told you it’s an old movie.

Now Tubularsock just wants to clear up a little something for you just to save time.

This Ukraine-Mess was created by the United States, PERIOD.

All-that-that-stems-from-that is the U.S. attempting to BLAME Russia.

U.S. imperialism marches on and the American public is fed shit news from the likes of the New York Times giving up “journalism” to become a mouth piece for another government war, AGAIN!

Now wouldn’t you think that after Michael Gordon and Judith Miller’s false Iraq War propaganda that the Times’ editors would pay a little more attention to the crap being presented on the Ukraine?

Especially this latest bit of bull shit that Michael Gordon has been involved in over the photo proof that Russian “special forces” are involved in stirring up trouble in the Ukraine …….. like the U.S. “special forces” aren’t involved.

The Times’ has had to backtrack from Gordan’s story on covert Russian activities because the photographs proving the thrust of the story were brought into question.

Yes, Tubularsock was just as surprised as you over this entire matter.

You see the photos showed a “person of interest” with a long beard and a military patch on his camouflage shirt. Like an undercover special forces solider would wear a military identification tag right on his shirt. And a camouflage shirt at that! No really, check this out.

Screen Shot 2014-04-25 at 2.33.05 PM

Well. Not to be overshadowed by the NEW YORK TIMES’ mis-information Tubularsock took it upon himself to track this “undercover” military special forces fellow down and took this photo which Tubularsock feels PROVES BEYOND A SHADOW OF A DOUBT who may have planted this guy in the Ukraine.

NOW HERE IS THE TEST: WHICH OF THESE GUYS ARE SPIES?

NOW HERE IS THE TEST:
WHICH OF THESE GUYS ARE SPIES?

The CIA has this manual that was published in 1985 under William Casey (a true little prick) titled “Indications of Political Instability in Key Countries”.

In this manual the CIA states that “. . . demonstrations are successful destabilizing influences when they gradually increase in size and intensity, spread to other cities, increase in the number of days they take place, and when government repression of the demonstrations escalates”.

And this is exactly what the CIA is up to. Hence, the bearded guy standing out in the crowd to PROVE it’s the Russians that are stirring up the trouble.

The CIA has also been prime movers in the control of the media ……. especially that media that feeds information to the U.S. and Europe.  In Kiev and western Ukraine, the media was rallied to support the demonstrations against the Viktor Yanukovych government. But when it comes to the pro-Russian demonstrations in eastern and southern Ukraine, the Western media has been urged to be critical or out right neglectful of that coverage.

But this is what the CIA does. Destabilize populations so the U.S. can control them.

A good example of this destabilization tactic has recently been exposed with the ZunZuneo scandal, the so-called Cuban Twitter.

ZunZuneo is the name given to a social networking platform that was largely a replica of Twitter, set up in 2010 by the United States Agency for International Development and contractors hired by the agency. The purpose was to build a base of unsuspecting Cuban users, and then introduce rumors and misinformation to destabilize the country’s socialist government.

The USAID is ostensibly a humanitarian aid organization but the rest of the world knows that they are chuck full of CIA and U.S. Military agents. Many NGO’s are used to carry out political operations and distribute money to opponents of any government that resists U.S. imperialism.

And if all that isn’t bad enough we can always call in contractors from private security companies to handle the necessary murder that has to take place and to train people to be terrorists much like we did in Syria. Remember we paid to have private contractors train al Qaeda. Just how counter-productive do you want to be UNTIL you realize that as long as destabilization takes place the U.S. keeps control.

Also a little side note:

Do you recall that at least three of the 911 hijackers were trained by the United States military within the United States?

And that the CIA helped to train and arm bin Laden and the boys.

It’s called blow-back when we train a group and they later turn on us ……. it happens all the time.

Is it counter-productive?

Or is it the REAL PLAN?

As long as the American public are destabilized by fear/protection they will be controlled.

THINK ON THAT BROTHERS AND SISTERS!

Tube clock heading 2014

Today Tubularsock was searching out other peoples information from his top-floor-corner-office in his underground bunker overlooking Washington, D.C. from Oakland, CA .

Most amazing is that this illusion that we each have created for ourselves seems to be totally insane when it appears in the group consciousness and played out.

Tubularsock knows every thing except the things he doesn’t know which is every thing.

So. Tubularsock’s observations and theories for this week follows:

In the middle of all this Ukraine stuff and Russia moving tough and the U.S. and NATO (which is also the United States) sanctioning themselves silly, Vladimir Putin gets a divorce. Simple as that. Seems 30 years of marriage and two kids later, well se foi, gone!

Now in truth this has been going on for nearly a year but during this “crisis” the Mrs. and Vlad finalized their divorce. And you know it’s real because Vlad’s presidential website no longer makes any mention of Lyudmila.

Wow, DE-friended. Harsh.

Tube:Vlad and

Is that why Vladimir penetrated Crimea? As a projected get back for what he wasn’t

getting from Lyudmila?

Nope. Sorry.

No, Vlad has been busy with Alina Kabaeva starting back in 2008 and he’s well taken care of in that department. Kabaeva can bend her body like a pretzel as pictured above and she is a bit younger than Lyudmila.  Kabaeva is now a deputy, or representative, of the State Duma. Putin might have actually married her in 2013.

Tube Kabaeba

Now, come on. Isn’t this just fun shit to know?

Vlad is just a regular schmo running Russia like any male and pumping iron, not to show off to the United States but to fulfill the younger woman syndrome. Classic.

Now what organ is it again that seems to direct the male-mind into action and “drive” their foreign policy decisions?

Screen Shot 2014-04-05 at 11.23.33 AM

The world renowned war criminal George-W.-Bush-The-Smaller has just had an “art” opening called, The Art of Leadership: A President’s Personal Diplomacy.

Now a lot of artists don’t have the connections to get their art shown but George has his George W. Bush Presidential Center in Dallas. And he had his daughter, Jenna plug his opening by using her position as an NBC “correspondent” on the Today Show.

Gosh, an “interview” by Jenna Bush with the world renowned war criminal George-W.-Bush-The-Smaller! His show will feature world leaders he worked with and painted and Tony Blair and Vladimir Putin made the list.

But what isn’t generally known by the public at large is that Tubularsock was first on the scene and took pictures of some of the paintings that were NOT shown.

Tubularsock entered through the side entrance with his cameras in tow and took these shots …….. no really, Tubularsock does this kind of thing.

But the most personal painting of George W. Bush’s repertoire is this one from the collection. Lynne and Dick Cheney in a private moment. Doesn’t it just capture the “beat me, beat me” that is so part of Dicks personality.

tubecamera cheney

The only problem with Bush’s show is that it really is prison art but Bush will never go to prison. For this war criminal to have an art show outside of prison is the real crime!

And so to round out all this bull shit in the greater reality of the illusion there is this:

The latest Fort Hood military nut case is such a surprise AGAIN for the military brain-dead.  The Army may never learn the motive of the Fort Hood rampage because Ivan Lopez is dead, said Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Command based in Quantico, Va.

Tube gun slant

Ivan Lopez made no effort to target specific soldiers he just shot everybody AS HE WAS TRAINED TO DO IN IRAQ!   “There was no premeditated targeting of an individual,” said, Lt. Gen. Mark Milley, Fort Hood’s commander.

The 34-year-old Lopez was undergoing treatment for depression and anxiety while being evaluated for post-traumatic stress disorder, base officials said. He was able to buy his gun at the same gun store that sold the last Fort Hood nut case his guns. The gun store is just a few miles down the road from the Fort Hood entrance.

How convenient.

So think of all of this as you finish your day. You don’t have to reconcile any of it. Because that’s Tubularsock’s job.

Putin is doing nothing more than projecting his male image by strutting about with no shirt on and moving his military around like a dildo.

Bush is painting pictures with as much swagger as any guy who was a “cheer-leader” in his college days and was willing to kill hundreds of thousands of men, woman and children to prove to himself and others that he wasn’t a wimp like his father.

And the Army is still trying to figure out that if you train a person to kill and then turn him loose that the fact that he follows his training is a surprise to them.

Yes, life is an illusion and when played out in the group consciousness IS like …. total insanity!

Now that is what Tubularsock calls comforting!

Tubularsock is not surprised nor will you be so get a cup of coffee, tea, bourbon, scotch,  sake, a bowl of Afghan hash ……….. whatever it takes to settle in and read what you already know and be amazed once again at the shear stupidity and narrow-mindedness of presumably intelligent individuals. Basically there is dumb and dumber. This can hold it’s head up high in the pantheon-of-dumbolgy to the level of dumbest!

Let Tubularsock start at the simplest level and progress up the ladder of understanding.

THIS IS SCIENCE!

Take a thimble full of black ink and dump it into a glass of water.

Take a stone and toss it into a pond.

And the results, please ………….

The glass of water is now black and the pond has concentric circles moving away from the spot where the stone entered the water.

Another example of the phenomenon about to be discussed is found in this true-life-experience. Tubularsock likes to run and every once in a while he takes BART (a rapid transit system) from Oakland to San Francisco. He exits at the Embarcadero Station which puts him at the foot of Market Street and he walks a short distance to the famous SF Ferry Building.

The Ferry Building is the starting point of the run which proceeds along the Embarcadero across the Golden Gate Bridge down into Sausalito. A little city north of SF. It’s a nice 12 mile run. Then Tubularsock hops on a ferry and returns to the Ferry Building and then back to his top floor corner office in his underground bunker overlooking Washington, D.C. in Oakland, CA.

Well more than once while running across the Golden Gate Bridge which more often than not has a strong wind blowing I’ve encountered a cigarette smoker exhaling their smoke. And even with a strong wind and a HUGE amount of air space the smell of that smoke is present.

So, let’s review: Ink, ripples, smoke.

Now like terrorism we are all supposed to be scared of HACKERS and CYBER-ATTACKS! Sure we are ……..

So like always if you follow terrorism, hackers, and cyber-attacks down to their fundamentals ONE ALWAYS (THAT’S ALWAYS) finds the United States Government creating, promoting, and actively engaged is these activities. IT’S WHAT WE DO.

Another FEAR we are all programed to have is IRAN GETTING A NUCLEAR BOMB!

And you know the reasons ……… they’re Middle Eastern Crazies and oh my god if they had THE bomb then they may use it.

“Crazies”? The only country in the history of the world that has EVER dropped a nuclear bomb on people is the United States of America. And we dropped TWO! On civilians!

So much for CRAZIES.

Well in order to screw up Iran from developing nuclear weapons the U.S. along with Israel (who happens to be crazier than bat shit) created a computer virus to fuck up Iran’s nuclear enrichment machinery. This virus is called “Stuxnet”.

Fun side note: Just in case you may have forgotten Iran received nuclear machinery for the development of their nuclear reactor from Halliburton while Dick Cheney was CEO even though it was against United States law to trade nuclear products or information with Iran at that time. Never say one person can’t make a difference!

Well, just like any good Laurel and Hardy movie Stuxnet not only infected Iran’s nuclear facility but this malware has spread outside of Iran to Russia and has even infected machines on the International Space Station, according to Eugene Kaspersky, a Russian specialist in the information security field.

Now how fun is that?

But it even gets better. Last November, U.S. oil giant Chevron also revealed that Stuxnet ran loose beyond its intended targets in 2010 and infected its network. At the time, a Chevron spokeswoman claimed that the company was not negatively impacted by the cyber attack. According to SC Magazine, a security magazine for professionals.

And according to Sean Sullivan, a security analyst for F-Secure, “It didn’t spread via the internet. It spread outside of its target due to a bug and so it started traveling via USB. Given the community targeted, I would not be surprised if other countries had nuclear plants with infected PCs”.

Stuxnet is traveling by those little portable USB gadgets which seem to bypass the traditional defenses used by computer security.

This is the perfect example of the art of unintended consequences and as Kaspersky stated in a Q&A at the Australia’s National Press Club last week, “Everything you do is a boomerang . . .”

So you see, Stuxnet is the ink poured into the water which has become the concentric cycles continuing to spread in a very large pond.

But before Tubularsock can wrap up his Nuke discussion this little bit of information will heighten your awareness of just how far the U.S. has fallen from the rotting nuclear tree.

Now you all know Major General Michael Carey, right?

No?

You should be glad Tubularsock is in your life!

Major General Michael Carey WAS commander of 20th Air Force, in charge of the Air Force’s fleet of 450 Minuteman 3 nuclear missiles.

Carey was removed from his duty for unspecified personal misbehavior that other officials said was related to alcohol use.

Fun side note: If “A”  follows “B” and “A” is misbehavior related to alcohol then “B” MUST BE  SEX! Well, NO the misbehavior IS NOT sexual misconduct nor is it related to operational readiness.  So just what kind of “misbehavior” that is alcohol related would result in a guy with 35 years of commendable service be fired? Stay-tuned.

Now don’t worry …….. you know he had a couple of beers just once and ………..

The Air Force has stated that future candidates for nuclear commander positions WILL NOW BE more carefully screened! (will now be?)

Wait for it ………. including the addition of an Internet search of the person’s name that could turn up any damaging information.

Wow, with a sigh of relief, you and Tubularsock can feel more secure that the guy who is the commander of the Air Force’s fleet of 450 Minuteman 3 nuclear missiles has been given the ALL CLEAR by Google!

But hold everything. Carey was shifted to an unspecified job at Air Force Space Command, which has no responsibility for nuclear weapons but will most likely get the Stuxnet virus because with the International Space Station infected, well we’re all one!

“Carey was fired two days after the sacking of a senior Navy (Vice) admiral (Tim Giardina) who was second-in-command at U.S. Strategic Command, which is the military’s nuclear war-fighting organization.

Their removal came amid a series of disclosures by The Associated Press about security and leadership lapses, training problems, and an assertion by one mid-level nuclear officer that he had found ‘rot’ inside his nuclear missile unit at Minot Air Force Base, N.D.” (Robert Burns, AP)

tube ad&gen

Fun side note: Vice Admiral Tim Giardina was removed from duty because of ……… of all things, vice! He was caught by the police using fake porker chips at the Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa . You have got to admit …. that’s funny!

However because of this ……….. candidates for these positions will now be reviewed for BOTH  physical and mental health issues! (will now be?)

So. With the Stuxnet virus running wild, the Navy admirals and Air Force generals running wild, “rot in the missiles” becomes the allegory for the entire set of events.

Now, all that is left is for Tubularsock to explain the smoke contamination on the Golden Gate Bridge.

You see in any good film somebody gets screwed and in the nuclear afterglow of Stuxnet, admirals, and generals they always light up a cigarette and ask, “was it as good for you as it was for me”?

Well trust Tubularsock on this ………  this affects all of us because we all are contaminated by the same “smoke” and it will be us being screwed AND THAT’S NOT GOOD!

And some of you doubted “American Exceptionalism”!

Tomahawk Cash

YOU might not have noticed but while Tubularsock was overseeing his vast stock portfolio he noticed a very interesting development.

tube invest copy

Obomber speaks of attacking Syria and RAYTHEON’s stock goes up reaching a 52-week high at $81.26 per share.

Now for you hoi polloi ,your ability to grasp this development, more than likely, passed over your heads but for Tubularsock and the capitalist class this was great news.

Tubularsock cashed in buying low and selling high. Using this new found wealth to invest in body-bag sales. There is going to be a killing to be made in this market, yes pun intended.

LET ME EXPLAIN IN SIMPLE TERMS:

Obomber announces attacking Syria.

RAYTHEON’s stock jumps up.

Tomahawk Missiles are made by RAYTHEON.

A Tomahawk Missile cost $1,000,000.00 each.

Once they blow up you need another one.

More than 2,000 have be fired in combat over the years.

Once they blow up you need another one.

Most American warships are equipped with 90 of them.

Once they blow up you need another one.

There are four U.S. warships set to fire these missiles at Syria.

Once they blow up you need another one.

There is BIG profit to me made by RAYTHEON here.

WHY?

ONCE THEY BLOW UP YOU NEED ANOTHER ONE!

But there’s more.

The Pentagon buys 196 Tomahawk missiles a year. That is what is considered the “minimum sustaining rate” but after firing hundreds of them on Libya in 2011, well gosh we have had to ramp up production.

Now accounting for the extra orders, RAYTHEON delivered 252 missiles this fiscal year and 361 last fiscal year. But one can’t have enough because Tubularsock has read some place that “once you blow them up you need another one”.

“In its budget submission for fiscal 2013, the White House requested 196 Tomahawks, for a total program cost of $320 million. It’s requesting the same amount next fiscal year, for a cost of $325 million. The increase in price, defense watchers say, is the result of several factors: inflation, rising fuel costs and a shrinking supply chain.”  (Austin Wright, Politico)

But when you factor in the “total program cost” a Tomahawk Missile costs $1,658,163.26. Think about that …..

every time the Navy presses a button ……..

BOOM $1,658,163.26 goes up …… and we need another one.

A Tomahawk Missile has “advanced contour mapping” so they can fly low and avoid ground radar. They have a range of up to 1,300 nautical miles. They travel at more than 500 miles an hour. And they can hover over their targets for hours providing a real-time view of the battlefield.

They deliver a 1,000 pound warhead that can devastate half an urban block and can hit a target the size of a home’s window.

THEY HAVE AN 85% DIRECT HIT RATE.

Are you impressed yet?

Well Tubularsock has come up with a couple of thoughts here.

Ahhh ……… 15% of the time they don’t have a direct hit so how many urban blocks are wiped out by hitting the WRONG home’s window?

tubeblowcamera

I guess it’s not much. You know how ALL urban blocks look pretty much the same.

But to be fair Raytheon was not the only defense contractor who saw their stock price go up during the buildup for a potential strike. Boeing, General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin — all missile system manufacturers — all saw sharp gains.

And can you believe that those homeless people Tubularsock has to set over ever time I walk down a city block have the nerve to ask for money to eat! The nerve of some people!

tube heading Syian treaty

Chillin’ On Syria

Wow! Have you looked over the new “agreement” between the U.S., Russia, and Syria? Well, “agreement” or is a “treaty”. Nah. Really kind of like an “understanding”.

Ok. Hands up, how many have read the “document” about putting Syria’s chemical weapons under International Control and destroying those weapons.

Well, Tubularsock was just floating through the political cosmos and started thinking.

Just how could John Kerry and Sergei Lavrov (you remember Russia our forever enemy) shake hands and agree on how Syria is going to give up their EVIL chemical weapons?

But just what has to happen?

Oh my, What has to happen, indeed.

Now Syria has a shit load of chemical weapons and chemicals in general that are called “duel use” chemicals. You know. Those chemicals that can be used to save OR destroy people, among other things.

Fun side note: Remember Reagan was responsible for selling “duel use” chemicals to Saddam INSANE. That was durning the time that Donald Rumsfeld was kissing Saddam’s ass.

Who would sell an INSANE man “duel use” chemicals and not expect him not to use them on the Kurds? Well who can think of that when you are in the Agricultural Department and there are profits to be made for the Chemical Industry.? After-all, they are part of “protecting American interests” don’t you know.

Shame about those gassed men, women, and children of the Kurds.

Remember which way the American Government looked when the Kurds were gassed?

Oh yeah, we were backing Saddam INSANE against IRAN!

That is not the time to give much thought to the Kurds, now is it.

My ……… how Tubularsock digresses ……..

Well in the overview, things look well ……… I guess it all has to do with what you remember about signing something and doing something.

Now don’t get Tubularsock wrong …….. signing rather than bombing any day BUT …..

I’m really not sure if Kerry and Lavrov, kind of, remembered that Syria was in the middle of a civil war. You know what I mean. They both arrived in limos to a huge marbled interior building in Geneva and both stayed in ….. well not Motel 8. And you know how “intensive talks” can go on for three days.

And then with dinners and drinks with separate entourages. Well you can imagine the stress.

SO LET’S TALK CHEMICAL ………

Well it’s being hyped as “ . . . the most challenging undertakings in the history of arms control”.

“Excuse me, but could I have an order of escargot as an appetizer?”

Now the chemical weapons have to be secured. Currently the storage facilities are being guarded (in theory) by Assad’s troops.

So first issue …….. who is going to put “boots on the ground” and secure these sites?

AND who is going to pay for that?

Second issue ……… who’s “boots on the ground” will Assad accept to enter his country with guns and be trusted to do only their job of guarding the facilities.

And the third issue …….. who’s “boots on the ground” once accepted will want to come into Syria and guard the chemical weapons? With both the “extremist groups” and elements within the Assad government that don’t want to give up control willingly interested in getting their hands on the weapons ….. well this isn’t going to be a cake walk for the “boots on the ground”?

“Oh yes, another bottle of that wonderful Romanée Conti, please.”

Well let’s say we have that worked out in theory. Maybe a U.N. force or the Russians?

And who are going to protect the inspector? …………. and who are going to trust the inspectors?  ………….. and who are going to pay the inspectors?

Questions, questions, questions.

Now, the logistics of disposal.

This is extremely dangerous to pull off and who will accept to receive these weapons for disposal and who is going to pay for this process?

The destruction of these weapons will take YEARS and the chances of either human error or attack of the storage areas or during transport are very high.

And according to Harlan Ullman, a senior adviser to the Atlantic Council, “ . . . many bureaucracies will be engaged including the national security councils of the United States and Russia, the United Nations, the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons and among others the Syrian government. Hence, delays and administrative obstacles could be huge.” AN UNDERSTATEMENT TO SAY THE LEAST.

This disposal is going to cost into the hundreds of billions of dollars. Get your check books ready!

The German’s private sector has extensive experience in chemical weapons disposal and may be called on to handle this major task. That is still up in the air.

But remember the Obomber’s use of force is still in play and if there are delays and lack of progress this county may blow Syria apart.

Fortunately, Geneva isn’t down wind from those exploding chemical sites.

Sergei: “We may want to review our agreement during ski season next time, John.”

John: “Splendid idea, Sergei. I may be able to hold Barack off for a bit.”

Sergei: “Excellent………Brandy?”
